Pretty Water Lake

Pretty Water Lake is a lovely sight when the water is running and the fish are jumping.    Pretty Water Lake hosts a trout season in the winter and a catfish/panfish season in the spring and summer.  It costs a little more, but the fish are worth it.

The Pretty Water stocking program has seen some dips in recent years, but hopefully we can get more people involved with the program, and it will thrive in coming years.  There are derby tournaments for each season, and prizes are given away hourly at the derbies in youth and adult categories.

Being a municipal lake, permits are required to fish Pretty Water Lake,  and the proceeds go for upkeep and to pay for the fish that are stocked.  Permits and stocking schedules are available at the bait shop, just bring your valid Oklahoma fishing license to purchase.

Permit costs:

Trout Season:

16-adult:  $15 plus tax

9-16 or over 65:  $10 plus tax

Daily  $5 plus tax

Family season permits are available for  $25 plus tax (These cover anybody with the same physical address.  Proof of address may be requested.)

Catfish season:

16-adult:  $15 plus tax

9-16 or over 65:  $10 plus tax

Daily  $5 plus tax

Family season permits are available for  $25 plus tax (These cover anybody with the same physical address.  Proof of address may be requested.)

***Please remember... A separate permit must be purchased for each season (since they pay for the fish...), and your pretty water permit only covers you while fishing above the waterfall.  Fines are expensive, ($250 per person each time) and we'd rather not see our patrons have to pay them.

Sahoma Lake is a different permit with different pricing, please see the Sahoma Lake page for more info.
